Curriculum
Our nursery offers a variety of experiences to support your child's learning and development. As a school nursery we adopt a diverse curriculum and provide a variety of approaches based on teacher led learning and child centred play.
All of our activities guide your child through the key areas of learning - physical development; communication skills; understanding of the world; creative, personal, social and emotional development; maths; and literacy.
We have a variety of experienced staff who are qualified teachers specialising in Early Years Development, nursery nurses and additional teaching assistants who ensure a balance of educational activities as well as enjoyment of learning through play. We have a trained member of staff who can offer forest school sessions.
In addition, we have a designated learning mentor on hand to support the children's wellbeing and social skills. We also have a strong Senior Leadership Team who are highly trained to disseminate national mental health and wellbeing programmes.
Being a part of a school allows our nursery children to access a variety of activities including aspiration events. The children have access to large playground areas and a range of resource rooms, including a music room, sensory circuit room, reading hub and our sensory garden, to name just a few.
The quality of your teaching and activities has been outstanding since my child started in September. It was beyond my expectations, but very much our wish. Timbertime clubs are fundamental to allow working parents to work full time. - Parent Review
I loved the nursery and felt that it introduced my son really well to the school. The staff was so helpful and made the transition so easy. I would highly recommend the nursery and the school.- Parent Review
The nursery teacher is knowledgeable and seems supportive of children with needing extra support. I think it will be a good start for him to be already familiar with the school and nursery environment.
The Schools general ethos/feel was important to us, inclusivity and getting to know each child as an individual.
